ON-CAMPUS INCIDENT NOTIFICATION: Attempted Robbery (Jester West)

Summary:

Around 4 a.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2022, UTPD officers responded to Jester West regarding an assault. After speaking with the victim (non-UT affiliated), it was determined that he was a victim of an attempted robbery. No weapons were used. The victim stated that two male suspects assaulted him and tried to take his backpack. The victim was able to safely get away with his belongings and advised that the suspects fled the scene on foot, running west on 21st Street towards Guadalupe Street.

Officers immediately searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspects.

Suspect Description:

- Two Hispanic males, appearing "younger" in age 

- Both had chin-length hair

- Black pants

- Black shirt

- Black pants
